What this image converter does

Image Converter changes images between common formats such as JPG, PNG, and WebP directly in your browser. You can add one or more files, preview the selected image, rename output files, choose quality when the format supports it, and download the converted images.

It is useful when a website, form, app, or social platform asks for a different image format, or when you want a smaller file for sharing while keeping the original image on your device.

How to use it

Choose images from your device, select the output format, adjust quality if available, then download each file or download all converted files. JPG does not support transparency, so the tool lets you choose the background color that replaces transparent areas.

Use PNG when you need transparency or crisp graphics. Use JPG for photos and simple sharing. Use WebP when you want a modern format that can often reduce file size with good visual quality.

Privacy and limits

Conversion happens in your browser. Your images are not intentionally uploaded to a Utiloza server for conversion. This is helpful for everyday files, but you should still avoid opening private or sensitive images on shared devices.

Very large photos, many files, or high-quality exports can use a lot of memory. If the browser slows down, convert fewer images at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Why does JPG need a background color?

JPG cannot store transparent pixels. Any transparent area must become a solid color, usually white or black.

Will converting improve image quality?

No. Conversion can change format or reduce file size, but it cannot restore detail that was not in the original image.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The current converter is designed to process files in the browser on your device.
